Park Attire

Remember my "Eiffel Tower" shirt? Well I paired it up with a skort that has been in my wardrobe for at least 6 years if not longer! The year we went to Georgia I picked up a bunch of these skorts in different colors from Walmart and they have held up pretty well.

I have this blue shirt in red (wore it 4th of July weekend) both were brought at Walmart at the start of summer   so I don't recall the cost. The shorts were $8.00 and you will notice that I have them in several colors (when I see a good thing I get it while the getting is good). LOL All of my camisoles come from Roses (usually three in a package for $5.00). I have a scar in the middle of my chest that I don't like to be seen so if a top is too low I won't buy it or it has to be able to be worn with a camisole.

I have a few extra outfits then what will be needed in the park (a girl has to have choices...HAHA). Recognize the yellow top? Yep, its the one that I also have in green and white! The shorts are the same as the white and tan ones above (and below). Plaid tennis shoes are from Roses....for $7.50!

Marc has an orange shirt that we brought specifically for this trip. I thought it would be cute if we matched! The shirt is from Catos ($7.00), and the capris are a throwback from last summers cruise wardrobe.

I picked this top up at a local retailer. Originally the top was $12.99. Way more then I usually pay for a casual cotton top but I had been looking all summer for a top in this color (aqua and lime green are my favorite colors). At check out Marc noticed that if you text a code to your phone that you can get a discount on your purchase by showing the savings code they send you to the clerk. Long story short my $13.00 shirt cost me $8.00!!!! Overall I'm pretty pleased with my selections for this trip, only time will tell which ones will make the cut in Florida. Tomorrow will be my last day of blogging until we return from vacation. I will rap up "Fashion Week" with some accessories, must haves for the park and a few Disney tips!

Have I mentioned that we leave in two days!!!!!!!!!!

Dinner Outfits

You may recognize the skirt above from my cruise last year. I paired it up with a new top from Roses for $6.00 (I loved the shirt so much I picked it up in several other colors). The flip flops were $7.50 also from Roses. If I decide to keep my all natural hairdo during this trip you will see lots of flowers and bandana headbands ($1.00 each) in my pictures! LOL

My brown cover-up is also a throwback from the cruise, paired with a pink tank and my brown flats (I just realized that I have pink flip flops in the same style as the white ones at the top to go with this dress....not sure how I forgot them. Must be all of the excitement of the trip...HAHA) from last year (see not all of my outfits are new). All of the flowers belong to my daughter Nicki. She picked up the whole lot on ebay. I'm sure you will see those flowers in each of our heads at some point on the trip! LOL

The pink tank is serving double duty, paired with brown capris (also from last summers wardrobe) with a new top from my favorite clothing store Catos. I found it on the clearance rack for $7.50!

Remember the white top with aqua skirt from above? Yep, here it is again in green paired up with a skirt from last year! And the gold flats are just like the brown ones above (see a pattern developing here). The white top below is from Roses (I think I paid $5.00 for it....and yes I have it in black also). The skirt is three or four  years old and was also a Roses purchase (and yes, I have it in white with black trim....lol). The black sandals were a recent purchase from Payless (for $8.00)! Anyone else notice how much Payless shoes have increased in price? I only buy from there now if I can get them at a discount!

With the heat of summer you are more likely to change clothing twice during the day after spending hours at the park in the sun. We also have plans for dinner as a family at Ohana's, and 1900 Park Fare. Add in several meet ups with friends in the evenings......so I have packed a few extra outfits for those events.

And did I mention that we leave in 3 days!!!!

Fashion Week-Traveling Outfits

T-shirt $5.00 from Walmart. Leggings are from Target also for $5.00!

Patriotic Mickey shirt is also from Walmart (paid $7.50 for it on Fourth of July, could have probably got it for less if I waited a day). Long Leggings are also from Walmart for $5.00. I dress cheap! LOL The stripe polo shirt matches a polo I got for the hubs this weekend from JCPenney for $5.00 (yes, sometimes we match....GASP)! Capri's came from Sam's Club for $9.00. Plaid Tennis shoes were $6.00 from Roses.

Last year when I took my first cruise I did a fashion week on my blog in part because a friend dared me to, and because it sounded like fun. I'm a list maker, sometimes overly (highly) organized person when planning for vacation (or any trip I take) and having something visual to look at helps me decide what to take and what to put back in the closet (not that many of the outfits made it back into the closet). My children are use to receiving a detailed list of what they will need to pack for the week and what the itinerary will be for each trip. This actually started with my first ever trip to WDW. I had a binder filled to the brim, copies of every restaurant menu we might be interested in, a must do list of things we had to see at WDW, and a heap of travel reports (with pictures) for everyone to read on the way down to Disney. As you can imagine that binder was HUGE! I still have the binder but this year most of my list and itinerary can be found on my phone...but the girls received their packing list via email last week.

The outfits above are my traveling outfits (don't you just love my Disney shirts). I can't decide what shoes to wear with the gray Mickey shirt but I plan to show up in Orlando with the Black and Red Mickey shirt on. The plan right now is to travel the 14 hours straight to Orlando and do the same on our return journey home the following week. The only change may be a stop in North Carolina overnight to "camp" out for a few hours with my uncle and aunt who will be on a camping trip in Fayetteville, NC for the weekend (just found out they were doing this today). If we do this will can leave Saturday night after a family funeral and drive for a few hours, meet up with them. Get a few hours of rest and be back on the road early Sunday morning! Only time will tell on that one though because when I told Marc he didn't sound that enthusiastic! And I have not even mentioned it to the girls. LOL

Update on our Plans

This trip is starting to feel a lot like deja vu! We have been able to add an additional day onto our trip on the front side. Unfortunately we could not get accommodations at Pop Century (or any of the value resorts for that matter)! So I looked up the rates for the first resort we ever stayed at on our first visit to WDW 13 years ago! We are now booked at the Buena Vista Suites for our first night in Orlando! There have been a lot of similarities in the planning of this trip to our first trip. We will be eating at Ohana's again (just like in 1998), and at 1900 Park Fare. That same year Marc and I celebrated an anniversary and went to the Yacht Club resort for lunch. This year we will all eat at the Beach Club resort for breakfast!

The signs continue to pop up....we saw a Mickey head on a car antenna a few days ago, and Sunday my DD Nicki and I saw a bumper sticker in the back of someone's car while on our way to church! This past Saturday Marc picked up a duffel bag at a local thrift shop...guess what the tag looked like? Yep, it was a orange luggage tag from Walt Disney World! I kid you not. LOL

The rest of the week will be "Fashion Week" on this blog as I share some of my "Disney attire". I picked up several Disney t-shirts this pass week from Walmart and today my DD Quisha and I went to the dollar store to get our rain ponchos and scored with a Disney night lite to add to the list! Bags are almost completely packed and for the first time in history I can say both Marc and my clothing fit in one bag!!! And did I mention that we leave in 5 days!!!! Woohoo!!!

Doing the Happy Dance!!!

We all know about Hidden Mickeys, but do you all have hidden Disney signs when you get close to a to a trip to the World? We sure have... starting with my son asking for some soap a couple of days ago and what do I pull out...Disney soap of course. Yes, I have such a big stash of soap from past trips that five years later I still have enough to hand out like candy! LOL Then yesterday I pulled my sofa away from the wall to clean and found a brand new Disney placemat! I've also noticed Disney clothes and jewelry in the store and this weekend I stopped in the local Disney store. There is no better way to feel the magic other then being at Disney of course. Speaking of which....we leave in 11 days!!!!!
Where is that dancing banana when you need it?

Hubby's Wardrobe

So the last few weeks I have been looking back and reminiscing over all of the pictures and trip reports from our past WDW adventures and started to notice that my husbands wardrobe had not changed in the last four trips! I kid you not....every picture had the exact same shirt and shorts! So last weekend I convinced him to let me pick out some new shirts to go with his shorts (the only time he wears shorts is at Disney so they are actually in good condition)!!!! I can't wait to take pictures with him now!! LOL
