Magic Kingdom Part 2

We hit Magic Kingdom that morning with a plan and a specific purpose!

I checked through pics and we were heading through the Magic Kingdom "doors" at around 10:50!

I managed to snap a picture of the new "Memories" display!

We headed to Fantasyland for Fast passes for Winnie and then headed here:

And here (I think):

You never know when a ride will be gone so if you really want to ride it, then you better ride it because it may be the last time! lol

Loved the new additions to the Winnie The Pooh Ride.

This one would never let us go to WDW without going to see Winnie! LOL

And Nicki would never let us go to WDW without riding "Its A Small World"!

You can't go to WDW without checking out the shops! I would get this shirt for Marc in a NY minute if I thought he would actually wear it! LOL

Cute!

When I saw this mug I thought of my son! I hate that he's not traveling with us anymore!

Not sure if we road this, if we did I forgot it (again, one of the many reasons I recommend doing a trip report the moment you get back...or even on the way back home)!!

My family has begged for years to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway! I tried to get them to pass until this trip.

They were eagerly waiting to board (Nicki and I were already in our car at this point)!

The general consensus was that we can skip from now on! LOL

This is a classic that can't be missed on any trip!

I had read about the new additions here and had to see for myself! Loved that you get to interact. But we had hardly any wait time so it was a quick walk through! LOL

Not sure how I feel about this since my hubby's name is Marc! LOL

We didn't know then whether President Obama would get a second term so we wanted to be sure and see him while we could!

The family waiting to go in! Whaaattt??? There is even a picture of me! lol

We waited a long time (or so it seemed)!

And our timing couldn't have been any better because we got to see the parade! My next update will be about our dinner with my friend Kelli and her family at the House of Blues!

Pics from the Pageant

Like I said earlier our goddaughters sister was Miss. Teen Alabama at the time of this trip and it was the whole reason were in Orlando at the time. Unfortunately we had just had some financial setbacks at the time and even though we had been able to still make the trip we knew we couldn't do everything and the passes for the pageant were really steep. Thankfully our friends were able to get a couple of extra passes for one of the nights and since this was the same day that some of our other friends who just happen to be in FL at the same time along with my godchild's parents, so we dropped the girls off so that they could be there to cheer our "niece" on.

The girls along with some of our friends who were in town that week as well.

Our niece!

My godchild was also a part of the pageant!

My girlfriend and her hubby who have been like second parents to my daughter Nicki.

And the trip continues!!!

Its been a minute so where was I? LOL

I know we took the friendship boat at Epcot over to the Studios (anyone else have a hard time not calling this place MGM?)

Our goal was to hit a few of our favorite spots and then make plans to come back and see some of the new shows we hadn't seen.

We made it to The Muppet 3D Show with hardly any wait.

I'm still bummed that we didn't get a chance to see the Car Stunt Show (hoping its still there in 2015).

We did get to see all of the changes to the Backlot tour.

It was too late to see American Idol ! It was not long after we came out of the Backlot tour that we got a call from our friends. They wanted the girls to come and see the pageant because they had some extra passes. I think this is the same day the sky decided to break loose with a torrent of rain that evening. This was day 4. Don't ask me what happened on Day 5 because its all a blur (I believe it was a non park day since we only had a four day pass but I'm not sure). I may have to go back and look at my daughters old photos to be sure.

And this is why you shouldn't procrastinate when it comes to trip reports. Just sayin!!!!

30 Years!!!!

I'm heading to Florida again!!! But not to Disney (well not the parks). Marc and I will celebrate 30 yrs of marriage in June and in honor of this big occasion I am giving him the one thing I haven't been able to do for him on so many of our vacations to Orlando. And that is a non Disney park vacation!!! Until now that is. So this June we will head to my favorite place in the whole wide world for rest, relaxation, some shopping, some eating and hopefully a meet up with some of our ministry friends!!! Oh, and did I mention this will be our first ever trip to Orlando without the kids?

Now, I''m not completely crazy so I did make one teeny tiny reservation to our favorite Disney resort for the night of our anniversary. Can you say Aloha cousins???? I also did not promise to stay out of the Disney outlets or Downtown Disney. Sista hasn't completely lost her mind! LOL

So here goes:

Cast of Characters: Marc ( 50 yr old Pastor, Bestfriend to Cyndi, Disney King who finances the families Disney vacations). And Cyndi (AKADisneyqueen, Disney fanatic, event coordinator and social media addict).

Pre-planning: Our reservations have already been made at our favorite non-Disney resort and the site of our first ever hotel in Orlando for a Disney trip. Bueni Vista Suites was the first hotel we stayed at all those years ago when we took the family to Disney for the very first time (and where we fell in love with all things Disney and Florida...lol).

We have dinner reservations at Ohana's (also one of our first Disney restaurants) on the actual day of our anniversary. I had some issues with our travel agent when we first made the initial enquirer and ended up having to call Disney dining myself to see if I could get the reservation. Which turned out to be an awesome experience by the way.

Other then our plans to hit several of the outlet malls, dinner at Ohana's, a meet up with some ministry friends, a trip to Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk........I have no other set plans!!!

I still have to update this page with some highlights from our last Disney trip (plus a couple of side trips). And I'm pretty sure I will post a few travel/fashion updates before the big trip (which by the way is only 4 days...which is probably a good thing since otherwise I really would go into withdrawals...lol).

The closer we get to the date I may have more of a "schedule" but for the most part I am not planning to "plan" out the entire trip like I usually do.

I'm calling this the "One Day " Post

Our family fell in love with Epcot the moment we stepped foot on property! Every trip has to include Epcot. On one trip it was the only park I think my son went to the entire time we were there. He had taught himself Japanese and wanted to talk with the CM's. I pretty sure he got on somebody nerves that week. Any way on this trip (back in 2011) we did not get to spend as much time at Epcot as we would have liked but we still managed to have a good time. A couple of places we hit without even thinking about it, and usually Test Tracks is at the top of the list but somehow we missed it this time around. Its been so long now that I'm not even sure why we didn't go but I can guarantee we won't miss it on the next trip. Anyway, here are a few highlights and I'm sure you will soon understand why I named it "next time"! LOL

I usually get every ones picture from behind (because I'm usually "behind" taking pics), but this time I was sitting at a bench waiting for them so I actually got a front view!

The girls actually getting along! Disney has a way of doing that. Maybe that's why I want to live there. LOL

I love the flower arrangements at Disney. Why can't I get mine to look like that?

I'm pretty sure most people don't notice this on the ceiling at The Land Pavilion, but I did on my very first trip there ( back when they even had a water fountain inside). I have loved it every since and was happy to see they were still hanging up! Of course that could have changed by now.

One day I'm going to go diving for pearls! Just not in the water.

She has to try on hats! I don't think there is a trip where I don't have a picture of her wearing two or three hats.

See what I mean?

One day she's going to actually buy a Kimono! LOL

Not sure what this one was looking for but it looks intense! LOL

I know what she's looking for here. Food! LOL

We always have to have at least one turkey leg on each trip!

One day I am going to eat here!

Me giving Marc the eye because he wasn't playing nice! lol

A back view just because I can! ROFL

I'm not sure what we did next. I'm going to have to look back through my pics to find out. But I will post another highlight next week! Tell then, have a blessed and happy day!

Life Really Was Interupted!

Hard to believe its been over a year since I posted on my trip blog! But life as really been interrupted (including some health issues). But this week while going over some upcoming plans for our 30th Anniversary trip to Orlando (unfortunately not to Disney. More about that in a later post) I started looking at some old pics and thought I would at least highlight this page over the next few weeks with some of the pics from our 2011 trip to Disney. A great place to start is with Ohana's which is not only our favorite restaurant but also the first Disney restaurant my family ever went to. In honor of that Marc and I have made reservations there again this year for the day of our anniversary! So I thought I would post a few Ohana pictures just to get me in the mood for the upcoming celebration!

Great food, a view of the castle (with the audio piped in of the Fireworks show if you happen to be there at the right time...which we usually are) and entertainment for the young (and not so young) at heart. What more can a DisneyQueen ask for? Next week I'll highlight our Epcot adventures!
