Departure Day Part 1: Breakfast at Boma

It was the last day in Orlando and you could tell we were tired after a week in the heat. But I was excited about breakfast at Boma.

You have to love all the details that Disney puts into its resorts. When you walk in the lobby you feel like you are in Africa.

Boma!!! Hubby and I ate here for dinner many, many years ago.

Boma has many of the traditional foods you are use to seeing at a breakfast buffet, but with a slight twist!

Breakfast was soo good.

You can't eat a Disney meal without a Mickey pancake. The Lion King one was pretty cute as well.

Our reservations were really early that morning so the restaurant was not crowded at all.

I am kicking myself for not remembering our servers name or taking a photo with him because he was fantastic. He recommended this bread pudding to Marc that he promised would become a favorite. Although I did not eat any (I am not a fan of puddings) my husband and daughter loved it. Hubby is a bit of a baker and after our server found out he liked to bake, he offered to get him a copy of the recipe.

Also, when he found out our daughter was celebrating her birthday he brought her a special cupcake to celebrate with. He told us what Vier meant but I for the life of me I cannot remember (SMH).

This was the moment when my husband said the next time we come back here you have to make reservations at Boma again. The fact that he said again......I consider that an invitation to book another trip (and if you follow me on YouTube you know its already a done deal). LOL

I didn't want to admit it but I was tired that day. The heat and the pace we were going at was starting to wear me down. Honestly? If money was no object I would have stayed longer. LOL

Marc and I decided to take a stroll around the grounds before we headed back to the All Star resorts to check out.

Although Animal Kingdom Lodge is not on my top ten list of resorts to stay at, I do love the theme of the resort and I always enjoy visiting there when we are at WDW.

If they still offer a tour of the resort on our next trip I would really like to go back and explore some more of the grounds and the building. The animals were not out that day so maybe we will catch them on the next trip.

We left the lodge, headed back to the All Star resorts to picked up our luggage and headed to Disney Springs one last time. Stay tuned. Next week, we take a stroll through Disney Springs one last time!
