Disney Trip Haul

I just posted my Disney Shopping Haul video up on YouTube. A few of the things I brought are not included in the video but can be found here. It may look like a lot, but in all honesty this is probably the smallest haul we have ever done on a trip. I think we have just become more selective about what we want to bring home (which is a good thing).

The one thing I knew for sure I was grabbing on this trip if given a chance!!

I can't wait to countdown to Christmas!!!

Marc picked these out the very first day at WDW. Wish they had these at the local Walmart we went to a few days later.

I'm telling you if you can swing it go check out some of the local Walmart's in Orlando! We saved a ton of money on these hats!

Basin may have just become a must visit and shop at store when we go to Disney. LOL

The Salt and Pepper shaker set that I didn't even know Marc had picked up.

These are very well made and were under $7.00 a piece, which is you have ever gotten a Disney mug on property you know how expensive their mugs can be. We picked up all of these at the Character Warehouse store.

I got my daughter Nicki an Eeyore one similar to the same design as this Minnie one I got myself!

Got these from the Character warehouse store for under $5 each!

I can't wait to use this bag we picked up the first day at WDW in the All Sports gift shop.

At the outlet store in Orlando you can get Vera Bradley bags for up to 70% off! I paid just under $25.00 for these two pieces.

My one big purchase!

This was a child's necklace but its a crown and Mickey head!!! Hello!!!

I have a new found love for some old Disney Characters including Tinkerbell!

It's Cinderella, and it was $5.00. How could I resist!

I really wanted a castle necklace but never saw one I really liked so instead I brought a charm and turned it into a necklace once I got home. I used a old chain necklace I had already.

Our "free" refillable mugs.

Flower Leis we received at Ohana from the musical entertainer.

Our celebration buttons!

I found these at a local Ollie's after vacation for like $3.00 a pack. I think I might be obsessed!

My cousin found out I loved Mickey and all things Disney and gave this to me off of his clock collection wall just because! You may see it in the background in future talk videos.

Arrival Day 2

We got up bright and early Saturday morning so that we could head to Florida! Notice I am wearing a skirt again.

Had a nice breakfast in the hotel lobby.

Arriving in Florida!!! A trip to Florida is not the same without a stop at the welcome center!

This is what happens when you take grown folk with you to Disney! SMH

I know everyone gets excited about the online check in, but if we had done that we would have missed a huge blessing! We were greeted by Todd, one of the managers at The Value Resorts. After a lengthy conversation about watches and men's ties with my husband the next thing we knew Todd was giving us complementary resort cups and celebration pins for our visit!

Check in was fairly easy considering it was 3 PM, and our room was available right away. I got most of what I had requested (which was a quiet room in the back near parking). More on my thoughts about the Sports Resort in a later blog post.

After we unloaded the car (and after my daughter got a few things straight in the room) we headed to DTS (excuse me Disney Springs) to check out all of the new shops and restaurants that have gone up since our last visit.

Did a bit of shopping in Uniqlo.

Scouted out The Disney Store.

The Dress shop!

Basin!

And the what I call the Chrystal shop! The one place I will never be able to purchase something at! LOL

After a quick visit, and a brisk walk back to the car in the rain we headed back to our room to prepare for dinner at Ohana's!!! Stay tuned next week for that blog post!

Sidebar: My daughter managed to create a small clip of that day for me to share since I lost most of the footage. I did get a one take video up as well of us that morning before departing Savannah.

WDW Bound Travel Day 1

Its just starting to hit me that vacation is over! But in my head I am already planning the next two trips so I am not as sad as I could be. LOL This is us the morning that we were leaving (sadly all of the footage from that day and arrival day in Orlando has somehow disappeared...not sure what happened but I am trying not to think about it too much).

This one started snacking before we were even an hour away from the house! LOL

Me trying to contain my excitement so as not to aggravate my traveling companions. But on the inside I was a screaming.....we are going to Disney World! LOL

My vlogging camera. I attempted to do a really great job, but in all honesty even at Disney it was hard to do without thinking folks were staring and or judging you.

When we hit South of the Border I knew it was only a matter of time before we were half way to our destination!

Took a friend along for the ride, and planned to take pictures of him the whole trip. The heat of Florida turned out to be too much for him to handle (as in I got to busy and forgot to snap photos, and then by the time I realized it we were on our way home). Talk about a social media fail! LOL

I loved doing Disney with my family, but explain why my hubby and I look like homeless folks and my daughter who took our picture looks relaxed and refreshed in the selfie she took of herself?

Something about driving around Florida in a white car just makes me smile! Don't ask me why. LOL

Music choice for traveling to Disney!

Surrounded by snacks and drink, what's a girl to do but go to sleep. LOL

Spent the night in Savannah Ga. I really believe in stopping and getting refreshed after many hours of driving/riding in a car!

This was my first time traveling in a dress rather then jeans or pants and I have to admit I like it! It will definitely be a consideration for our next trip (depending on the weather of course).

After we  settled in our hotel room we went across the street to grab a quick dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. My food was good, but the service was a bit off. I don't know if it was because it was towards the end of the night or if he treats everyone that way but lets just say his tip was not as good as it could have been.

We got back to the hotel that evening and quickly prepared ourselves for the morning. It would only take four hours to hit Orlando on Saturday morning and I for one could not wait!!!

Stay tuned for another post on next Monday (and eventually my first official video from the trip once I sort through some stuff). Its by no means professional and I have come to the conclusion that I need a better camera, but hopefully someone will enjoy my little snippets of our trip! Even if its just family and friends. LOL

Hubby's Disney Wardrobe

The hubby recently got over a bout of pneumonia and lost 14 pounds. So we are not sure how many of his shirts will fit (or actually look good on him). But since he is a man, I know he will probably not take the time to try on outfits in advance, so I have picked out "options" for him to pick and choose from once we arrive. The one thing he does like to do is shop (I know, not typical man behavior lol) so I imagine if he doesn't like something he will find a way to go shopping for something more "appropriate". LOL

But until then, these are his choices!!!

He can definitely wear this to dinner at Ohana.

Or this (since I am wearing black as well).

This is perfect for a day at Epcot. So we shall see. Its one of the few outfits I don't see him having any problem getting into.

This shirt I actually made to match mine. And we will more then likely wear this the day we go to Hollywood Studios.

This is perfect for Animal Kingdom day, but its one of his larger tops.

This can be worn on any day, and is also one of the few that he can actually wear without it looking like he is drowning in his clothes.

This is for the day we return home. He prefers to wear pants when traveling just in case he has to work on the car. I am hoping that with a car rental that this will not even be something we have to think about!

These are my least favorite outfits only because they are on the larger size, but again its all about options so only time will tell if they make the cut! As far as what he will be wearing the day we leave...just like my outfit (which really isn't that special only because its the most none Disney outfit the entire week) you will just have to wait and see when I post our one take for that day! Until then I hope you enjoyed this little extra bonus post.

Disney Trip Wardrobe!

It's been forever since I shared a Disney vacation wardrobe post! But we are now only two weeks away from our trip and I finally think I have decided on what to wear to the parks!!! Hope someone enjoys all of the effort I put into them. LOL

This outfit is for our travel day to Orlando the morning after our stop in Savannah the night before. Its also what I will be wearing to Disney Springs.

This is our Ohana dinner outfit. My daughter Quisha and I will have on similar tropical ears with a slightly different contrasting fabric.

This outfit is for Magic Kingdom Day and lunch at Be Our Guest. I original would have been matching Quisha but I didn't feel comfortable in our Beauty and the Beast t-shirts. I really should have gotten an extra large since its a junior size.
My Animal Kingdom day outfit!

I thought the colors in this outfit would make for a great selection for Hollywood Studios. Granted most of the rides are gone at the moment, for some reason when I think of that park I think of bright colors!
This outfit is for one of our days at Epcot. I say one of because we will be doing a lot of park hopping on this trip!
This outfit is for our last day at the parks, we will be spending a lot of time at Magic Kingdom and Epcot that last day so I figure I would go out in style. And what better way then with Mickey and Minnie! I am hoping to get an original set of Minnie ears and will most likely wear them with this outfit. If for some reason I don't get them I can wear this set again.

We are set to eat at Boma for breakfast on our departure day. So I thought why not break out the animal print on the last day just for the fun of it!!!

The ears are still a work in progress but I am getting there. I still have not decided on a travel out for our departure to Florida on that Friday. I kind of keep going back and forth between wearing Capri's or a skirt. So that you will have to just wait and see on Travel Day!!!!

It Just Got Real!!!!

Look what came in the mail!!! This will be the first time we have visited the parks in nearly 6 years! So much has changed (not to mention all of the changes to come within the next few years). So yesterday was the first time we experienced getting Magic Bands in the mail! This made the trip feel really real. In the past I haven't felt like the trip was "real" until we are actually leaving for vacation. But this time around I am extra excited !!! One small update...it looks like my younger daughter and husband will not make it to Florida now, so I am pretty bummed. But because of that the girls and I have throwing around the idea of doing a Girls Trip in 2019! And what an exciting time that will be with the launch of the Star Wars area, and Toy Story Land which should be up by next summer.

Speaking of Hollywood Studios....we will arrive in Orlando just in time to catch the Great Movie Ride and Ellen's Energy Adventure before they close for good. This has caused us to move some stuff around in our schedule (I am so thankful that we have the park hoppers). Over the next few weeks things should pick up on this page as we prepare for Disney. So stay tuned!!!
